Our day in Porto started with a late breakfast at the Hungry Biker. It’s a very cool place with amazing food! We were pleased! I had a celery, spinach, banana, and ginger smoothy and Pistachio French toast. Mary had a Hangover waffle (she was not hungover) but it had eggs, bacon and a tomato, beer sauce over a waffle…so she could not resist. She said it was good!
Then we headed for the gondola ride at Gaia. We crossed the Dom Luis bridge to get to Gaia and got some nice photos from the air. We looked around the area—shops and tents with goods.
Decided to take a boat ride on the Douro and view the 5 bridges and get a peak at the Atlantic. Was a nice relaxing boat ride. Lasted about an hour.
Then rode the gondola back up near the Luis bridge, walked across and found a restaurant (Pouca Roupa) at the river front for a meal. Later on Elise and Kevin stopped the restaurant. We chatted and laughed for a bit. It was wonderful to see them!
Early to sleep tonight as we have our last tour tomorrow to Braga and Guimarães and we have to meet before 8AM.
